Case Study: Securing funds in the increasingly competitive Asian region
In the past 4 years in Singapore we’ve seen many talented young studios start out starry eyed into independent game development only to get quickly hamstrung and overrun by financial woes. Many wannabe entrepreneurs fail to realize that having secured seed funding by itself is not the end but in fact the start of a complex series on money raising and financial planning tasks that will require experienced and dedicated resources working full time at it over almost the entire duration of the project. The talk will briefly touch on some of the available funding mechanisms in Singapore and discuss various financial and growth challenges companies can expect to face in their initial years.
